<p>EGYCABON has a network of engineers and experts at your disposal to advise you concerning all the problems you meet with commutators, carbon brushes, brush holders and pressure systems. EGYCABON provides exceptional Commutator & Slip Rings Services that include but are not limited to: </p> <p><strong>1) Machining</strong></p> <p>EgyCarbon have a patented process to machine commutators and slip rings on site to reduce the cost of the total repair.</p> <p>This provides the optimum conditions for good carbon brush operation and removes the constraints of time and risk that would be created by the removal of the motor.</p> <p><strong>2) Mica Undercutting</strong><br /> Commutator undercutting is performed to undercut the mica separating the copper segments so that the carbon brushes will wear evenly.</p> <p>Mica is hard and does not wear down evenly with the copper segments.</p> <p><strong>3) Chamfering the Commutator bars</strong><br /> After truing, the commutators, the edges of the bars should be chamfered.</p> <p>This operation is necessary when the voltage between bars is high.</p> <p>The chamfering increases the distance between the upper edges of two successive bars: the risk of arcing is therefore reduced.</p>
